On December 2nd, Los Angeles City announced 40 local families experiencing homelessness are moving into a new apartment complex in the San Fernando Valley. Parthenia Place, located in Council District 6, is the city’s first State Homekey Project site to house homeless people. It is the first of 15 planned properties to open citywide with about 750 units and rooms slated for homeless people.

Parthenia Place was established in partnership with the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) and LA Family Housing. LA Family Housing will provide on-site support services as well as case management to help the families integrate into permanent supportive housing.
