The Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles (HACLA) joined LINC Housing in celebration of the groundbreaking ceremony for Mosaic Gardens at Westlake.
Mosaic Gardens will consist of 125 units to serve families and seniors, including 63 affordable units designated for formerly homeless individuals as well as 32 chronically homeless residents referred by the L.A. County Department of Health Services. The remaining units will serve families with up to 60% of area median income. HACLA’s contribution to this project includes 63 project based vouchers (PBV) to serve formerly homeless families.
The newly constructed Mosaic Gardens will include a health and wellness room for targeted programs, a multi-purpose space to host various resident programs, as well as the private meeting rooms for service providers and case managers. Other main features of Mosaic Gardens will include: community garden, computer lab, health and wellness room, playground and much needed range of social and supportive services. The property also provides a convenient access to public transportation, schools and shopping.
